5 out of 5 stars The only stuff that worked for my dog.   December 12, 2008

After innumerable visits to the vet and dozens of "remedies", the vet determined that my black Lab had a yeast infection on his skin. They gave me this shampoo to try and VOILA!, no more dandruff and NO MORE ITCHING AND CHEWING!
My lab had had this skin condition for years. He scratched and chewed at himself constantly. He had a bad odor and copious amounts of dandruff. He was also losing hair and chewing at himself so much that he had open sores. After using this shampoo as directed for 1 month, my Lab is now itch free and his coat shines again. Great stuff.

4 out of 5 stars Great stuff and way cheaper than the Vet.   September 22, 2008

My 10 year old Cocker Spaniel developed patches of dry skin with scabs and nothing would take care of the problem except an expensive trip to the vet. Every time the vet would prescribe antibiotics, Malasab, and a bunch of tests. The problem would then go away, but would return again a few months later. After 3 times it became obvious that the Malasab shampoo was what was helping the problem. The vet was happy to give me more and more of the shampoo but he would charge $25 for 8oz. Now I can get it myself for far less from Amazon and I couldn't be happier. Yes it's expensive, but it's a lot cheaper than a visit to the vet.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good for Dogs with Skin Issues   September 18, 2008
My dog has bad allergies and gets staph (scabs). This is a great shampoo to use. It's a topical solution for his coat.

I have a 7 year old pug. He had mites (mange) from the time we got him at about a year old. He initially got 18 dips in mitaban which is used on fruit crops in the south. It is very toxic, but the only way to control the mange. One vet even said you might have to put him down. About 4 years later, it came back, and he had another 8 dips. For some reason, he then came down with these bumps. Started in his tail area, and progressed to his entire body including head and neck.

After 7 months of antibiotics and steroids from the vet, I was at wits end. He was on Science Diet and after researching the net, I was convinced it was his diet, not enough protein. I switched him to Nutro Max Puppy Formula, and had NO luck. I then tried Evo reduced fat, and even red meat. Still no luck. I then tried malaseb. The hard part was waiting the 10 min allowing it to penetrate the coat, but I wanted to follow the directions exactly.

Within 2 baths, I noticed the bumps leaving his tail area, and moving to the neck and head area. I didn't give up, and continued baths. I gave him 2 baths a week for 2 weeks. I then went back to once a week. He is now completely bump free. I am absolutely shocked and astounded at the results. I did try 1 bath since he was improved, and much to my surprise I found 2 more small bumps within a week. I'm now convinced this is the ONLY shampoo I will EVER use on him. Considering the danger of continued steroid and antibiotics, especially with no favorable results, malaseb is the ticket. Amazon has the best price around. You can get a 12oz bottle for $12.95. Hands down, they have the best price.

If your best friend truly is your best friend, don't hesitate or mess around. I can assure you this product is the bomb, no question about it. Don't even waste time like I did. Their health and wellness is being compromised while you experiment. Thank You malaseb for saving my pug from a life of misery.....

Your Malaseb shampoo is wonderful and really serves a purpose for my dog. She tends to get yeast on her skin everytime she gets bit by mosquitoes and the shampoo helps a lot. Thanks for a wonderful product.
