Amazon.com Product Description
A safe, stylish alternative to plastic water bottles, Sigg water bottles are a great choice for transporting beverages on your daily commute or while backcountry hiking. This ultra-lightweight bottle is extruded from a single piece of aluminum and holds 1 liter of fluid (33.8 ounces). Designed to fit your on-the-go lifestyle, it comes with a loop top bottle cap, which can be secured via hook or caribiner clip to a backpack or daypack.

Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. They also feature Sigg's proprietary baked-on inner liner, which is made from a non-toxic, water-based epoxy resin that exceeds FDA requirements for leaching (0.0 percent) and is independently tested to be taste- and scent-neutral. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Kueng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water?
A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating.

Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating?
A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable.

Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks?
A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top.

Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended.

Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer
A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

5 out of 5 stars ooh pretty   January 7, 2009
I work in a school and I've been surrounded by Sigg's and just had to have one. The colors on the Maharadsha Turquoise one are very vibrant and I ended getting it cheaper through Amazon than I would have through the Sigg website. It does hold quite a lot, most days I only fill it 3/4 of the way full because A) a liter is a lot of liquid and B) it can get quite heavy. The bottle itself is insanely light and very stylish. I also recommend getting the brush cleaning set as well, its not very expensive and it will help it from getting nasty on the inside. Enjoy.

5 out of 5 stars Sigg water bottles are the best   January 6, 2009
We love Sigg water bottles. They don't have a metallic taste. Our family switched over to Sigg water bottles to help the environment and get rid of all the unclaimed plastic water bottles that we had when we bought bottled water. The cleaning tablets are also great for cleaning the water bottles.

2 out of 5 stars Nice looking. VERY fragile.   December 21, 2008
This is a beautiful bottle. The mouth of it fits my mouth great. However, it's so fragile. You've read the reviews of people frustrated by how easily this dents if you drop it. I don't care if I have some dents. But, I had my hands full the other day, and I dropped my water bottle on the sidewalk from waist level. The drop pierced the bottle, and now it leaks. It's garbage now. A $25 water bottle should stand up to more than that.

5 out of 5 stars Great Design, Great Quality   December 4, 2008
The 1.0 liter SIGG Lifestyle Water Bottle was everything I expected. My SIGG is both sturdy and lightweight, as promised in the product description. It endures everyday travel very well; I bring it to school and work with no issues. All of this is and they are safe too! As described, "A ground-breaking interior lining is 100% effective against leaching..." so your drinks stay free of harmful chemicals. Also, there are no funny tastes associated with it. Water tastes like water. Most of all, there are numerous unique and beautiful designs to choose from.

Pros:
+Sturdy
+Light
+Safe from leaching
+Many beautiful designs to choose from

Cons:
- Price
- Dents and nicks somewhat easily

Overall, this water bottle is great if you want to spend at least $20 and like unique, beautiful designs. It is a very good water bottle, but there are many worthwhile alternatives. For example, if you want a cheaper, yet still safe water bottle, Camelbak offers 1.0 liter water bottles for $15 or less.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Water Bottle   November 23, 2008
This water bottle is everything it is supposed to be. It has a cool, unique look that draws compliments and keeps my water very cold. No more plastic bottles for me.
