I'm planning three litters in 2009. Lucy, the yellow with the yellow pups will be put back on Cody as soon as possible. That was a wonderful litter.
Bailey, Lucy's yellow half-sister, has a date with a very nice black boy who carries chocolate. He has a lot of champions in his line. I'm expecting black and possibly chocolate in that litter.
Riley, my black female will be put on a blocky chocolate for a black and chocolate litter.
I'm now putting people on my notification list so you will have first choice for the puppies.
About Our Labrador Retriever Breeding Program
I had my first litter of Labs in 1990 and have been learning ever since. I focus on the pet market but have dogs that have been used for therapy/assistance. I've been working with this bloodline since 1997 and can provide a lot of references if requested. All my dogs are house dogs and share my bed. Puppies are born in my bed or my closet (mom's choice) and stay in the closet for two weeks. They are then moved to 4'x8'pens in the basement until they are ready to go home. I have grand-daughters who "help" with the puppies regularly and cats who visit them frequently. I also encourage visits from buyers as often as they want to visit. I also board dogs that I raise so I keep track of the pups.

Health Information About Our Labrador Retriever Dogs & Puppies
My dogs are all up to date on their vaccinations. I also won't breed a dog that hasn't been OFA certified for hips and elbows or pre-hipped if too young for certification. I also have my dogs eye certified every other year.
My litters and moms are taken to the vet right after delivery (within 12 hrs) for a checkup. The pups go back at six weeks for another checkup and first shot.
Buyer Requirements for Our Labrador Retriever Puppies
I like people who know and like Labs because they understand that they chew, jump and demand attention. Actually, anyone who obviously loves the dogs and has a tolerant personality. They also must be able to care for the dog properly. Having kids is a plus... and a big fenced yard.
Sophie, the chocolate pictured is the mother of Riley, my black and the grandmother of Lucy, and Bailey. She has now been retired and her job is being grandmother and holding down my pillows at night.
